OUR TERMS AND CONDITION

By submitting an application to Digital Creator Africa Academy (DCAA), you agree to the following terms:
1. APPLICATION & ADMISSION
1.1 Eligibility: Applicants must be 18+ years old, proficient in English, and meet stream-specific requirements.
1.2 Selection: Admission is competitive and at DCAA’s sole discretion. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
1.3 Accuracy: All application information must be truthful and accurate. False information may result in immediate disqualification or dismissal.
1.4 Rolling Admissions: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until cohort capacity is reached.
2. PROGRAM PARTICIPATION
2.1 Commitment: Accepted participants must commit to 12-15 hours per week for 3 weeks and attend all mandatory sessions.
2.2 Team Collaboration: Participants will work in assigned production teams. Professional conduct and collaboration are required.
2.3 Equipment: Participants are responsible for their own equipment, internet access, and workspace.
2.4 Attendance: Minimum 80% attendance required for certification. Excessive absences may result in dismissal.
2.5 Code of Conduct: Participants must maintain professional behavior. Harassment, discrimination, plagiarism, or disruptive conduct will result in immediate removal without refund (program is free, but this applies to future paid programs).
3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
3.1 Your Work: You retain copyright to original work created before and during the program.
3.2 DCAA Use Rights: By participating, you grant DCAA a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use work created during the program for:
- Educational purposes
- Marketing and promotional materials
- Case studies and portfolio examples
- Platform demonstrations
3.3 Collaborative Work: Work created in teams during the program may be used by all team members and DCAA for portfolio and promotional purposes.
3.4 Third-Party Content: You are responsible for securing rights to any third-party content (music, images, footage) used in your projects.
4. NO GUARANTEES
4.1 Employment: DCAA does not guarantee employment, platform deals, or income after completion.
4.2 Platform Access: While DCAA facilitates introductions to platforms, acceptance by these platforms is at their sole discretion.
4.3 Results: Individual results vary. Success depends on talent, effort, market conditions, and factors beyond DCAA’s control.
5. PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING
5.1 Consent: You consent to being photographed, filmed, and recorded during program activities.
5.2 Usage: DCAA may use your likeness, voice, and testimonials in promotional materials, social media, and marketing without any compensation.
6. PRIVACY & DATA
6.1 Information Collection: DCAA collects personal information (name, contact details, portfolio work) for program administration.
6.2 Data Use: Your information may be used for:
- Program delivery and communication
- Alumni networking
- Industry partner introductions (with consent)
- Program improvement and research
6.3 Third Parties: DCAA may share limited information with program partners, instructors, and platform partners for legitimate program purposes.
6.4 Data Protection: DCAA implements reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. PROGRAM CHANGES
7.1 Modifications: DCAA reserves the right to modify curriculum, schedules, instructors, or program structure with reasonable notice.
7.2 Cancellation: DCAA may cancel or postpone the program due to insufficient enrollment, force majeure, or other circumstances. Participants will be notified promptly.
7.3 No Liability: DCAA is not liable for costs incurred by participants due to program changes or cancellation.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
8.1 Free Program: As this is a free program, DCAA’s liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8.2 No Warranties: The program is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
8.3 Participant Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your own equipment, internet connectivity, workspace, and any costs incurred during participation.
8.4 Third-Party Actions: DCAA is not responsible for actions of third-party partners, platforms, or other participants.
9. TERMINATION
9.1 DCAA’s Right: DCAA may terminate your participation at any time for violation of these terms, code of conduct, or at our discretion.
9.2 Participant Withdrawal: You may withdraw at any time by notifying hello@digitalcreatorafrica.academy in writing.
9.3 Effect: Upon termination, you must return any DCAA materials and cease using DCAA branding.
10. GENERAL PROVISIONS
10.1 Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria.
10.2 Entire Agreement: These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and DCAA regarding program participation.
10.3 Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
10.4 Updates: DCAA may update these terms with notice to participants. Continued participation constitutes acceptance.

11. CERTIFICATION
11.1 Requirements: Certification requires 80%+ attendance, completion of all assignments, and satisfactory team collaboration.
11.2 Certificate Value: The DCAA certificate demonstrates completion of training but does not guarantee employment or constitute a professional license.
12. ACCEPTANCE
By submitting your application and checking the acceptance box, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
